The Willows schools tours to Sri Lanka & India
The Club has organised regular schoolboy tours to Sri Lanka and India since 2008, coached and managed by Paul and Julie McEwan. These tours are often the first taste of cricket (and life) outside New Zealand for the players.
A good number of these players are now involved in provincial cricket around the country, along with three 2008 tourists – Tom Latham, Henry Nicholls and Matt Henry – currently playing for New Zealand.
We're grateful to all our overseas connections for their continued support that allows these tours to happen, particularly Merrill, Dilhan and Malik Fernando of Dilmah in Sri Lanka.
