The Willows won the toss and invited Timaru Boys’ to take first use of the pitch. N Tubb opened the batting and played a very positive and attractive innings being third out with a score of on, in a total of 95. He was followed by J Morrow, the other main contributor to the innings, with a well compiled 37. TBHS after so overs recorded 192/8.

The Willows commenced their innings in a very positive manner with Michael Bevin forming an excellent partnership with Willie Lawson before Ben Brook and Greg Calvin asserted their dominance over an accurate bowling attack, combined with some excellent fielding from the Timaru boys.

This was another well fought match between the two sides and is a fixture important to The Willows each season.
